Nancy Jane Shumate Wills

Nancy Jane Shumate Wills, age 85, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Christian Health Center of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with PJ Hicks officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.


Mrs. Wills was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on September 25 1938, the daughter of the late Seymour and Nonnie Dougherty Shumate. Nancy was a homemaker and member of Hopkinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Wills; and her sister, Joyce Wallace


Survivors include her son, Richard A. Wills (Anita) of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughters, Cindy Carter (Bruce) of Hopkinsville, KY, Brenda Cansler of Hopkinsville, KY, Penny Frazier of Crofton, KY; her eight grandchildren; and her nine great-grandchildren.
